Some animals are quite empathetic.
And this definitely applies to hens. You might not have known this before but there is a reason that sometimes mothers are compared to hens. Because Hens will not only always take care of their little chicks but they can also sometimes take other animals under their wings. And they will warm up these animals no matter what. So while we are quite used to seeing pictures of cats and dogs, today we are going to pay some special attention to hens.
That is why we have some adorable pictures of hens warming up puppies, kittens and many more animals. Why are they doing this, you may ask? Well, I don’t really know. May they think of these animals as their own kids or perhaps they want these adorable babies not to feel cold. Whatever their reasoning maybe, I have to admit that I have fallen in love with hens and now I want one even though I don’t have any space in my home.

#1 The Hen seems to be keeping an eye around her surroundings so that no one messes with her puppies.
#2 Okay the kittens are adorable but just look at how fluffy this particular hen is.
#3 I feel like the chick is sort of jealous of the puppy and wants attention from his mother.
#4 These kittens certainly don’t need a blanket when they have such a warm hen taking care of them.

#7 Atleast the hen is trying to keep the pig warm or she just wanted a soft place to sit on. I choose to believe the former one.
There is a reason hens are the epitome of motherly and that is because when chicks get hatched, they stay very close to their mothers for at least 8 weeks after they are born. And the mother hen will basically take care of everything when it comes to their chicks. And sometimes hens also adopt other animals and this can be because they don’t have their own kids and their motherly instincts wants them to take care of a living being.

#9 I know what is basically happening in this picture but it is still confusing the heck out of me.
#10 I can’t stop looking at the two ducks who are basically snuggling with the hen and it is adorable.
#11 That is one way to keep your pigeons safe. I wouldn’t wanna cross paths with this angry chicken.
#12 It took me a few seconds to even find the little kitten and just look at how cosy he looks!
#13 The mother hen doesn’t want to let go of the little piggy but he is having none of it.
#14 Right here we see a dog taking care of an injured hen by acting as a bed for one.
#15 This hen has adopted these kittens and nobody can convince her otherwise.
