Right from the start, we can tell that the difference in culture causes issues.

I don’t see anything wrong with remembering your family and friends and assisting them financially and otherwise. However, when it comes to giving away items that your partner or you both own, there must be some thought. And it’s not like she’s handing out trinkets. She gave her family members not only his backpack but also his laptop! It makes no difference whether he uses those items or not. The simple fact is that they were his possessions, and she had no right to take them. I can only hope they talk it out or go to couples therapy, or else this problem will fester and grow larger than it needs to be.
