What would you do if your boss asked you to cut off internet access for the employees, but not for him and his partners? Would you comply, or would you refuse? One Reddit user, u/mdlapla, decided to go with the former option, but with a twist.

OP followed their boss’s order exactly as he said, but they also made sure that the boss and his partners would suffer the consequences of their own request. The result was a hilarious story of malicious compliance, where the boss and his partners were exposed for their hypocrisy and incompetence, while the employees proved their dedication and productivity. 10. One day, May approached OP and told him one of her sales representatives was not working and browsing the internet instead. Turns out, they were using the internet to look up something work-related.

11. May wanted OP to deal with the situation instantly so OP complied by turning the internet off…but the malicious part was that he did it for the whole company.

12. Within 2 minutes the entire leadership came running to OP’s office asking what had happened to the internet.

13. OP told them he simply followed May’s orders. May clarified she wanted the internet turned off the sales representatives only…OP told her it doesn’t work like that.

14. May, June, and CEOPeter were all furious but because there was no other optin, they had to agree to have the internet reinstated for everyone.
