Police should always be called as a last resort.
That is what most people would say but that is the reason so many missing people never get found. The first 48 hours when a person goes missing are the most critical. And even if that person turns up the next day, isn’t it better to be safe than sorry later? Atleast that is what I think. Even though a lot of people may see it as an overreaction, you never know what can happen so it is good to be vigilant.
And that is exactly what this guy was doing. He got worried for his Fiance when she didn’t come home and wasn’t answering her phone either. She had been out all night. While she is an adult and can stay out however long she may want, her partner was getting worried. And since she didn’t reply for a few hours, he assumed the worst. Honestly, I would do the same if this happened to me. But his Fiance didn’t have a great reaction to this.

His Fiance went out to help a friend’s son and she was supposed to come back at 9.
But she later texted that she was going to be late.
But an hour later, there was still no sign of her.
And now she wasn’t replying either which left him with anger.
But now his anger was transformed into worry as he didn’t know where she was.
So he decided to call the Police because he wanted to know what had happened.
He called different hospitals and did everything to find out where she was and why she wasn’t replying.
But she finally apologized when she came home in the morning.
She obviously had an excuse at the ready which doesn’t sound very convincing.
So he called the police and let them know that she was home.
But they still needed to do a check on her which is understandable.
While he didn’t want the police to go to her workplace, he didn’t have a lot of choices.
This caused tension in their relationship and she isn’t happy about it.
She blames him completely for everything.
And that is why he is on Reddit asking for an outside perspective.
I am just going to come out and say that I think she is lying. I just have a hunch that her whole story is made up. I am not calling her out for being ‘responsible’ but it was only a 30-minute drive. And if she was going to take a nap, she could have texted her husband and let him know. And who takes a nap in the car when their home is only a few minutes away? Something is definitely fishy here and she is just embarrassed now.
People in the comments were quite suspicious of her.
And OP doesn’t 100% believe her either.
People pointed out that this behavior is a red flag if they have ever seen one.

After reading that whole fiasco, kitty tax is desperately needed.

This adorable kitten still doesn’t have a name and is looking for one. What would you name this floofball?
A lot of people have called her out on her story and he seems to have a suspicion as well. What are your thoughts on this? Even if we ignore the obvious lie, what would you do in this situation? Did he overreact or was she too lax? Comment down below and let us know. Also, don’t forget to share this story with your friends so they can join in with their opinions as well.
