MIL Thinks It’s Woman’s Fault To Not Give Birth To A Son, Woman Tells Her To Read Up On Basic Biology

MIL Wants A Son As First Child, Thinks It's Woman's Fault To Not Give A Son, Pregnant Woman Tells Her To Read Up On Basic Biology

No girl is less than someone just because she is not a boy.

Gone are the days when girls were considered worthless and boys were considered the ones who would carry on the family’s name. Well, some people are still living in that era. A pregnant woman shared on Reddit how her mother-in-law wanted a son as her first child when she got to know that OP is pregnant. OP laughed it out the first time but when they announced that they are having a baby girl, MIL was upset. She told OP that everyone in the family has sons and she wanted a son to carry the family’s name.

MIL blamed OP and told her to try harder the next time to give her son a soon. OP’s husband told his mother that he does not care whether it is a boy or a girl and that she should not put it on his wife. MIL told him that he should wish for a boy because he will carry the family’s name instead of a daughter that will just be given away. OP told her MIL that she should read up on basic biology and then she can call her and apologize. OP and her husband left after that. Scroll down to read what OP’s husband told her on their way back home.
