The work of a babysitter isn’t easy.
The relationship between parents and babysitters is a complex dynamic that has a significant impact on children’s upbringing and well-being. From building trust and effective communication to navigating expectations and boundaries, this relationship can significantly impact the overall experience for both the parents and the babysitters involved. Parents rely on babysitters to care for and support their children when they are not present, so they must be comfortable with their choice of carer. Babysitters, on the other hand, must feel respected and valued by parents in order to perform their duties effectively and provide a positive environment for the children. At the end of the day, it is a two-sided street. And just because babysitters are paid does not imply that they are not entitled to basic human decency.
However, many parents overlook this simple fact and believe that treating nannies as maids is the way to go. This mindset can lead to strained relationships between parents and babysitters, compromising the children’s well-being. It is critical for parents to recognise and appreciate the hard work and dedication that babysitters put into their jobs, as this fosters a harmonious and mutually beneficial relationship. While it is the responsibility of parents to teach their children manners, if they fail to do so, the nanny should be allowed to intervene and provide guidance and discipline as needed.
But the woman in this story disagrees with that. Scroll down to read the full story for yourself.

The title says it all.
The poster for this story apparently enjoys being a nanny.
However, that doesn’t imply that all kids are the same in her eyes.
The kids in the story were particularly rambunctious as well.
So she tried her best to get them under control as kindly as possible.

But that didn’t sit well with their mother once she came back.
So OP decided to listen to exactly what she said.
As you can guess, the mother was quite surprised when she came back home.
Let’s just say there was a lot more chaos than she had been expecting.
And OP also blacklisted this family so she never has to deal with them again.

Not only that, but the babysitter also seems to be in good health.
I can somewhat understand where the woman is coming from because it is not anyone else’s responsibility to parent her child. However, it is not as if the babysitter was teaching them anything incorrect, and it is obvious that this woman is failing as a mother. I understand that sounds harsh, but entitled people like these refuse to accept responsibility for their actions and expect others to pick up the slack. So I’m glad the nanny gave her a taste of her own medicine. After all, isn’t this what she wanted all along?
Hopefully, her agency will listen to her.
Babysitters definitely deserve a lot more respect.
This wouldn’t be petty at all, in my opinion.
Kids learn everything from somewhere, after all.

There is a reason people hire babysitters.
Most people would just take it quietly.
And never go back there again.
Now I really want a picture of that.
Raising children is harder than it looks.
