We’ve all did hear the phrase that you don’t get to choose your family – and while this is truly the case (to some extent), you have no responsibility to put up with the unfair treatment that your so-called “loved ones” subject you to.
This is not your duty to correct your parent, partner, or overpowering in-laws, nor shouldn’t you be expected to cater to their requirements, particularly when you have tried tirelessly.
They don’t consider them monsters-in-law for anything, do people?

OP did nothing wrong and his husband should have been empathetic towards her because while delivering baby women have to go through immense pain and pressure and the body is under great stress nobody is born perfect we just have to select the right person to suffer with or survive with.
The husband should have understood OP far better and he shouldn’t have complained over such a petty mistake or a problem whatever you guys think. According to me, OP is not an A-hole and she did nothing wrong.
