Who doesn’t love the idea of going on a relaxing vacation? I bet most people do, and they often bring their families along for the adventure. Family vacations not only create lasting memories but also provide a much-needed break from our daily routines, introducing us to new foods, activities, and cultures.
And guess what? Science tells us that going on a family vacation can actually make you healthier! People tend to be happier and more relaxed when they come back from a vacation. Interestingly, research has found that those who take family vacations have stronger family bonds and increased productivity. Now, let me share a captivating story with you. Reddit user u/AITAHolidayingFamily found out that her daughter and grandchildren were planning a vacation to a nudist resort in France.
Curious and concerned, she confronted her daughter about it. She just couldn’t imagine her grandkids being exposed to a nudist lifestyle. The conversation took an unexpected turn when her daughter admitted to feeling upset about the mom snooping around.

1. A mother thought it was okay to tell her daughter how she should vacation with her family.
2. A 60-year-old mother shared that her daughter is married to a Spanish guy. The couple lives in the USA but frequently visits Europe and Spain.
3. OP wished she could visit Europe that frequently as well.
4. For Christmas, OP was at her daughter’s house and while she was there, she used her son-in-law’s computer to search for something online.
5. That is when she found out the family had reserved a vacation to a nudist resort in France.
6. OP couldn’t believe her eyes. She couldn’t fathom the idea of her grandchildren being at a nudist beach.
7. When OP discussed this with her daughter, she got furious and told her mom she had no right to make decisions on her behalf.
8. OP explained she was fine with OP and her husband going there but it didn’t seem appropriate for her grandchildren to be there.
This is not okay. Why does OP think it is okay to tell her daughter about what she should do with her life? She shouldn’t have let her get married and have kids if she wanted to control the way she lived her life. OP’s daughter has her own family now and she is in a complete position to take decisions for her own family. OP has no right over where they go for vacation. OP is an AH that is for sure but an even bigger one for going shopping through her son-in-law’s laptop.

9. She also told her daughter it doesn’t feel nice for mothers to roam naked around their children.
10. The daughter told OP it was normal with her in-laws and that Europeans had a different impression of nudity as compared to the other world.
11. OP insisted she take a normal vacation instead of the one they had planned.
