OP has always someone watching his dog or she would leave him alone only if someone is going to get back in 30 minutes.

OP does not have a lock on her gate because she never needed one. She has always lived in the same neighborhood and nothing like this has happened before.

Mickey wears a collar and has a dog tag. How can someone even think that it was a stray?

We don’t believe that M thought it was a stray dog when D has already seen OP walking the dog. Also, the dog was in OP’s yard and was wearing a collar and had a dog tag. Which stray dog has a collar and a dog tag? She probably gave away the dog to someone else so that she couldn’t get caught if someone investigates. It’s ridiculous that she committed theft and then manipulated the whole story to make OP look the bad one. Scroll down to read what people think about it.

This person would make a police report.

M committed theft. OP should press charges against her.

M is the AH for taking away OP’s dog from her yard and acting like she owned a turn.

This Reddit user thinks OP is not a responsible Akita owner.

Things OP should do right away:

OP should not walk his dog without a leash.

ESH. OP is the AH for not putting a leash on her dog and OP’s neighbors are AH for stealing OP’s dog.

NTA. M stole the dog on purpose.

OP did right for reporting her neighbors because if she did not, her neighbors could do it again and turn the story into something worse.
