Animals don’t really think.
Now, I am not saying that all animals are dumb and that they don’t have a thought process because that would be false. What I am trying to say is that animals don’t have the same impulse control as humans. For example, as a human we know breaking someone might feel good but we don’t do it because it is wrong or a similar reason but animals don’t have that thought process. While they will do what is best for their survival most of the time, other times they do stupid things that ends up hurting them.
Don’t tell me your cat hasn’t tried to jump on a hot stove just because he was curious as to why it was red. But we put up with it when it comes to pets because we love them so much. And that is exactly how we ended up with the following pictures. From a cat having his food stolen by a hedgehog to a dog trying to eat the keys so his hooman doesn’t leave him, our pets will do whatever it takes just to get what they want and it is adorable.

I couldn’t find the puppy in the house or in the garden. I was already beginning to think that she had run away. But she was just cleaning out the kitchen cabinet.

Even though our pets are supposed to be predators, sometimes it feels like they have no survival instinct. For example, my cat loves to sit very close to my chair. That sounds pretty normal but my chair has wheels which means that if I am not careful I could roll over his tail or something even more dangerous. But no matter how many times I teach him not to sit on the wheels he never stops. But that is something you just have to deal with.

If a person acts as if they’re about to leave, put your muzzle and one (this is important) paw on their knee. Your person will simply melt and will no longer be able to stand up. And you will cuddle forever.

This is Charlie, he’s 4 years old. He weighs 16 lb and he doesn’t believe in limitations.

Bullet, my cat of many years, went missing 3 months ago. I feared the worst. He came back this morning.
