Moreover, their work involves dealing with architects and designers to make sure things go according to plan and their project is finished with perfection. They even hire specialized sub-contractors and over-look their progress, as well. Overlooking all these tasks might sound easy but trust me it’s not easy. It is anything but easy. Some people fail to understand this and undervalue their hard work. Most of these people will never be able to survive in their shoes, but looking down on people and their jobs is always easy.
One such story of a competent contractor in UK being treated badly by the client got famous on Reddit. His worth was underestimated by the client, which would have been fine, but the client took the road of verbal abuse to convey his demands. And this resulted in the contractor leaving the project. The client’s behavior was exposed which led other contractors refusing to work with him. A perfect karma.

What we conclude from this story is that professionalism should be emphasized in every sector of workplace. The entitled, boastful and abusive employers and even employees should be called out for their attitude and behavior. Not only that, they should face the consequences for their unethical behavior so it does not get strengthened and should never be repeated and for others to vicariously learn from their consequences. Unprofessionalism promotes negative and toxic workplace environment leading to many adverse side effects. It can fall under the act of bullying if the other person takes the behavior of an unprofessional individual without saying anything.
