Liars always get caught on the Internet.
One thing that I would never recommend is to lie on the Internet. No matter, how clever you think you are being, someone will dig up everything about you and expose you. Especially since we all have the world of information at our fingertips, it is really easy to disapprove lies. So I can never understand why people don’t do their research before posting something. While it is possible to delete a post, a copy of your stupidity will always stay on the Internet.
And some of these instances are so dumb, that they make me question the intelligence of humanity. How did these people think that they could get away with this? Especially since some of these people are used to the limelight. If you don’t want people to nitpick, you should always be careful before sharing something. And if you are not sure about something, just don’t put it on the Internet, it really is that simple.

In this day and age where misinformation runs rampant, I understand that some people just repost something they find on the Internet before even doing a cursory search but some of these are quite surprising. From people believing old memes to taking jokes as facts, it is as if people don’t have minds of their own and just follow a news outlet whatever it may be. I can only hope that someday people learn to be more careful about what they put on the Internet.
