Nobody likes clinginess.
If you ever had to deal with a clingy friend or significant other, you know how hard and taxing it can be. However, the same cannot be said when an animal is on the other end. I’ll even go as far as to say that it is just straight-up adorable. I myself have to physically lock the door because my cat will follow me anywhere and does not leave me alone even for a second. ut that is what most pet owners usually want.
I mean when we get a pet, it is because we want a companion and it is hard to feel like you have someone when your dog doesn’t even pay attention to you so I’d say this is a much more preferred behaviour. So when you get a pet, say goodbye to your privacy because they will follow you to the bathroom and will watch you take a shower. It is just something that one has to get used to.
And you can start doing that by taking a look at the following examples. Just scroll below and enjoy.
#1 ‘I have to keep you safe, even in the bathroom.’
Well, this is new and slightly uncomfortable.
#2 Animals can be quite clingy with each other as well.
#3 ‘When will my teeth stop hurting me?’
Luckily our clinic cat has been a little needy after his dental surgery.
#4 This is what sibling love is all about.
#5 Now that is one way to show love.

#6 I can’t tell which is the real dog and which is the toy here.
#7 Most of our pets love to use our faces as a pillow.
#8 ‘I am sleepy, can you tuck me in now?’
This is how Arthur lets me know it’s time for bed.
#9 Apparently, cats love to do this because even my kitten loves to do this.
Excuse me, missy. I think I need my arm back.
#10 This guy certainly won’t have any back problems.
My cat sits here every time I use my laptop.
#11 ‘This is the time for pets, not studying!’
While most of this behaviour is normal, an animal being too clingy means that they are scared and that they only feel safe with you. While this may be cute this can lead to bigger problems like separation anxiety when you have to leave for even a few hours. This is why it is necessary to socialize your pet so they don’t become fully dependant on you. It is rare but it can happen, especially with animals that have been rescued from unfit homes.
#12 Okay, this is just way too adorable.
#13 Just two fluffy babies cuddling together though one might be manufactured.
#14 How can anyone say no to that face?
#15 It is his best friend.
Does anyone else’s Australian cattle dog always have to have a stuffed animal with them?
#16 You can never have any privacy when you have pets.
I hate when someone is looking over my shoulder at my screen.
#17 ‘Are you saying you cheated on me with another dog?’
Forbidden love, for this is not my dog…
#18 Apparently humans make the best sort of beds.
My dad kept griping, ’I don’t want a dog!’ Yet this is how I find them napping..
#19 How can anyone not look at this picture and melt?
#20 ‘ We don’t care that you are adopted, you are our sister now.’
