Oftentimes, while surfing the internet we come across some hilarious illusionary pictures that boggles our mind. But, these pictures are not edited or magic, but someone takes a picture at just the right moment, and a magical image is created. Sometimes it’s just a strange angle that makes it appear as if someone has a mile long arm and other times it’s an awkward perspective that fools our eyes into seeing something completely different than what’s actually going on. Whatever the reason, the end result is a photograph that causes people to pause and look twice in an attempt to figure out what is going on.

You know, our minds are trying to find the simplest way to look at things. Yes – you read it right. At first glance, we try to relate the image to the most basic and close interpretation of it, and only after a few seconds do we realize that the image’s individual details don’t even make sense. These illusions don’t harm our brain or but they trick our vision and mind for a few seconds. The element of surprise is also what draws us to so-called perfectly timed photographs: we see one thing at first, but it can be deconstructed into something else.
