Woman Refuses To Allow Ex-Husband To Take Their Children On A Heritage Trip To South India

The best thing you can do as a parent for your children in their teenage years is that you are taking them on an international vacation. No matter where you take them, they would be extremely excited and would start counting down the days as soon as you give them the news.

Something similar was done by Sarah and Mark’s father who told them he was going to take them to Southern India. Reddit user u/JoyfulFish who is the mother of these children has been divorced from her husband for 8 years and they have been co-parenting Sarah and Mark ever since. When the ex-husband gave this news to OP about taking the kids to India where his new wife’s family resided, she refused to let them go saying that India is a very dangerous country and she doesn’t want to risk the lives of her kids.

Not really sure if the refusal was the right thing to do or not because her kids got really upset with her, OP shared the story with the community members of the infamous subreddit “Am I The A$$hole?” to know if what she did was right or not.

3. One time OP’s ex called to tell her he wants to take his family along with both their children to Southern India. That’s where her ex’s new wife belongs.

A heritage trip for his wife, his daughters with that wife, and his biological children…I would be game!

4.  OP did not like this idea after her ex shared the names of the cities they will be going to.

5. Even though her ex’s wife’s family lives there, OP won’t give permission to her husband to take their kids to India because she believes it is a dangerous country.

What sort of a mother ruins a fun international vacation for her children? Knowing that her ex-husband would be going with them along with his wife and their daughters. The ex-husband had been co-parenting their children smoothly and without many issues with her. I think he knew well how to take care of his kids on a vacation.

Secondly, her ex-husband’s wife’s whole family was in India, where they were going to do. I am sure they would’ve taken care of the kids beyond OP’s belief. Indians are very hospitable period. They know very well how to treat a guest, they treat guests like Gods.
