OP asked for the rate and, to be honest, got a very reasonable hourly rate. But it was way beyond her expectations and she wanted the tutor to teach at a much lower rate. (2/11)

$40/hour is actually a very good rate because language tutors charge a lot. This is actually a freebie but seems like OP is not in the mood to pay that much. $5 though is just an insult.
