Danny Trejo spent time behind bars and received boxing training in San Quentin. Through his job as a drug counselor after becoming clean and sober, he came across acting. Trejo gained popularity with casting directors and agents because of his menacing appearance and past. Still, in real life, he has spent many years being a family man and a straight shooter.

Trejo’s appearance as if he could eat your face lends his characters in films and TV series an essential quality. He has unwittingly developed a career as a gruesome villain. He does, however, have a wicked sense of humor.
