Son Gets Job Offer, His Mother Demands He Doesn’t Accept It And Give The Job To His Brother Instead

Dont Accept Job Offer

If you are ambitious about doing something and you know you can put in the required effort to complete the task you are going to take on, then you should definitely go for it and avail that opportunity. No one has the right to tell you otherwise, to reject that opportunity, or to give it to someone else. You are the main decision-maker in your life and you decide what is best for you.

In today’s story Reddit user u/HercHuntsdirty shared that after breaking up with his girlfriend of 6 years and with his master’s degree going to end soon, he decided he wanted to double his wealth and started looking for a second job. OP already worked from home for a tech company that paid him nicely, but he wanted a second job. He was ready to take on it so why not, right? OP contacted his friend who was into hiring and he sort of confirmed him a job. When OP gave this news to his mother, she instantly dismissed that idea and instead told him to let his unemployed brother do it.

OP was ready to start with that second job as soon as he got it but the conversation he had with his mother really confused him and he had no idea what to do.

2.  OP had a breakup and was also going to finish his master’s soon so he knew he was going to have ample free time on his hands. He wanted to do something about this.

3. OP could’ve spent the free time doing nothing but he decided to prove his ex wrong for the reasons she left her and wanted to increase his wealth…he wanted to work.

4. OP currently works in a tech company which makes him good money but he is looking for another job, something similar, so he could work two full-time jobs side by side and make double the money.

Effort! If he thinks he has got it in him and wants to go for it, then why not?

8. And his mother instantly raised a motion against it all. She told OP he doesn’t need the second job, however, his brother does. He could do it.

What? His brother? He was going to get the second job for himself for a reason. Also, there is no such thing as donating job offers to another person because you don’t want it anymore. You either accept it or you decline it. OP needs to sit his mother down and lecture her on how jobs work because that woman has no clue about what she is saying.

15. If the parents keep behaving like this, they will ruin their son’s career. He would never gain the confidence to do something for himself.
