These Tear Jerking Comics About Black Cats Will Hit You Right In The Feels

Black cats deserve love as well.

In can’t believe I even have to say this. But apparently people still believe in old superstitions about how black cats are unlucky or how they were witches familiars and the sort. Now I will not claim to be any better than this since I wasn’t a big fan of black cats once (not because of superstitions.)

However, that changed when an adorable little black kitty stayed with me for a few days. They are just cats with a different colored coat of fur. Although that doesn’t change the fact that they are adopted much less than other cats and are thus left to rot in a shelter for a very long time.

That is why an artist named Jenny Jinya wanted to shine a light on the world’s cruelty while also giving a semblance of hope. I have to warn you that someone starts to cut onions the moment you start reading.

But there is beauty as well.

She wants to give the black cats a voice.

There are dozens of posters and infographics with various statistics about abandoned or abused animals. Many know the problems, but such information is quickly forgotten.

It seems the old woman found the cat’s body.

I try to give a voice to the victims with my comics. I want the affected pets to be able to tell their own stories. I hope I can raise awareness this way.

Most people want to adopt colored kittens.

And they forget about the black cats or the old ones who need just as much if not more love.

And their time comes to an end before they get to experience love.

However, the world is full of nice people as well.

Those who don’t care about the color or the superstitions.

At least one of them found a forever home.

While the times are changing, there are still people who believe in these things.

Maybe not today but one day, we will learn.

Learn not to judge things based on what people said who lived long ago. Because as we all know. We have to embrace the change with time rather than being stuck in what the past has to offer.

So maybe in the near future, we might not have these stupid superstitions to deal with. And every cat will have an equal chance of getting adopted.

Yes, they are.

I am sure every cat approves no matter the color.

That is something I can get behind.

I appreciate the sentiment but I will not be doing that.

Ah yes, my eyes are pretty red now.
