Vegetarian Gets Mad That Roommate Cooks Meat In Dorm Room, Roommate Asks If They Are Wrong

It’s difficult to share a small living space with another person. Yet, it’s difficult to claim that everyone should act in a certain way to please one person when it comes to non-medical food preferences. Most of us have specific tastes that others may find different or may not understand at all. After her vegetarian roommate’s request to stop preparing meat when she saw them cooking chicken, Reddit user u/pumpkinthighs asked the question on Reddit’s primary morality group, r/AmITheAssshole.

Although the circumstances don’t seem especially spectacular, the college student seemed to have gone harsh when she asked her roommate to cease cooking any meat at all. They go out of their way to only cook meat while they believe the roommate is out, as the original poster had mentioned; the vegetarian roommate had no issues with the scenario until she saw OP cooking chicken.

This flatmate needs to acquire the capacity to recognize that other people have different diets and recognize that the OP is trying to be fair. If you attempt to control what other people eat, it simply will not work very well unless there is a severe allergy or medical issue involved. Life is already far too brief.

So keep on scrolling down below to know the whole drama and make sure you read it till the end otherwise, you are not going to understand the complete story here.

1. So here’s the title, you guys know the drill, in the end, you have to let us know who’s the A-hole here.

15. Unless and only if she has a diagnosed medical allergy to meat?

According to the people voting we can see that no one said OP is the A-hole here, and that’s because OP respected her taste buds and she just came at the wrong time. One cannot suffer only due to that she doesn’t like the smell of cooking meat. Honestly, OP needs to request the room change.
