Woman Demands Compensation From Sister After Her Niece Tears Her Passport Apart Not Allowing Her To Go On A Disneyland Trip

No one would smile after seeing their passport being torn apart.

Disney is a universe that people from every age group love and one association of it is Disneyland. A masterpiece of a spot that everyone at least once in their life wants to visit. And no, I am not talking about just the kids, adults with and without children also have this amazing dream to visit Disneyland. After all, it looks so irresistible in all the pictures and videos we see online.

People who live within the same country as Disneyland, or even better within the same city should consider themselves very lucky because it helps a lot with the travel costs but it still is an expensive trip to cover. You have to save up for quite some time to have the best experience there. And for people who live in different countries, well then the trip gets really expensive and some end up saving for years to finally live their dream.

The worst part is when you have spent so much time, effort, and patience to save up for the trip and you are all set to go but due to an unexpected circumstance, you have to cancel your dream trip. Reddit user u/tinypicklerick111 is one of those unlucky persons who had no option but to cancel her Disneyland trip after having completed all preparations.

OP was going to Parish with her friends for a whole week and a day was set to visit the infamous Disneyland as well. She was super excited and everyone should be happy for her. But her 6-year-old niece wasn’t. The little one was extremely jealous and was eager to be taken to Disneyland with OP. Obviously, that was not possible so OP promised to bring some presents for her, and OP’s sister also said they might take the children to Disneyland next year. But none of this was satisfactory enough for the child as, in anger, she took OP’s passport and tore it apart into pieces not leaving her any option but to forcefully cancel the trip because there was no time left to get a new passport made, or a visa stamped.

The child most certainly needs to be taught a lesson. I would say the eldest fully understood what she was doing. She knew the passport was something OP needed to travel and without it no travel was possible. I believe it was a conscious decision made to destroy that piece of document and OP asking for compensation was nothing but her right. The sister must understand the scenario from a broader perspective. Imagine someone ruined her child’s plan. She would’ve come at that person like a crazy person.

OP was NTA.
