Family is extremely important.

But, no matter how important a family is, there is always the possibility of drama at a wedding. When it comes to weddings, there is no shortage of drama and chaos, from nightmare mothers-in-law to bridezillas and runaway grooms. You’d think it was a high-octave performance rather than a happy occasion in someone’s life. There’s also the fact that many weddings require a significant investment of both money and time.
I am not saying that every wedding is like this because more and more people are opting for simple weddings that do not require a fortune, but those who do opt for a ‘proper’ wedding must consider their budget. That is the subject of today’s story. Because this couple was concerned that the wedding expenses would balloon out of proportion, they kept it as low as possible. Her sister, on the other hand, has ten children. And, while she wanted to invite all the kids, doing so would mean going over budget.
As you might expect, the sister was displeased with the decision and was vocal about it. You can read the entire story by scrolling down below. This is going to be a wild ride, so buckle up and enjoy.

The main thread going through the whole story is the wedding that started it all.
It was going to be a small and simple wedding.
And she wanted her older sister to be there but all of her kids were going to stretch their budget.
So she talked it out with her husband and they decided to invite the eldest kids.
The sister was not happy about it but there was really no other choice.
Her sister was quite pissed about the whole ordeal.
But they did end up coming to the wedding.
Things did not end there and her sister has been angry at her after that incident.
She has mentioned it repeatedly.
So the bride decided to ask the Internet if she was really in the wrong.
She also added a bit more information to help people come to a conclusion.
As you can guess, people had a lot to say about this one.

While I understand why the sister feels betrayed, I sympathise with the bride. She didn’t have any other reason than the budget. And her sister’s religious beliefs had nothing to do with this. Maybe it’s just me, but are weddings really that entertaining for kids? The other kids, based on their ages, would not have had fun and would have caused unnecessary chaos. I’m not sure why the sister is making such a big deal out of it. She could have helped with the costs if she really wanted to bring all of her children.
A lot of people were at her side.
And others wanted a bit more information before coming to a conclusion.
It simply wasn’t in the budget for her.
So I don’t understand what else she could have done.
If her sister had helped with the extra expenses, none of this would have happened.
But the sister wanted to have the cake and eat it too.
Her sister needs to realize that not everyone is going to be okay with paying for ten kids.
It has nothing to do with religion at all.
There were quite a few people who called out the bride for being exclusionary.

But most were on her side and she was deemed to be in the right.
Wedding drama sure does make you thirsty for some adorable cat tax!

Is it just me or is the cat on the left winking at the camera? If so, that is one cheeky tiny kitty.
What do you think about this story? Do you believe the bride should have invited all of the children, regardless of budget? Or do you believe she made the correct decision?
