A wedding day is supposed to be all about the couple who is getting married. No one else has the right to steal the limelight away from you. It should be a special day for the couple. A bride shared her experience in the r/TrueOffMyChest community where she told Redditors how her parents ruined her wedding day by planning a surprise engagement for her sister on her wedding day. OP was hurt and tried compromising with her parents but they told her that they have spent a lot of money on the party. OP decided to elope a week before her wedding day. OP and her husband got married at their grandparents in law’s place. It was a dream wedding and some of OP’s friends, cousins and aunt attended their wedding. OP does not hate her sister but it was her wedding, the most special day of her life and her parents were trying to ruin it. They should have planned a surprise for the bride instead of planning it for the bride’s sister.
