Companions are expected to assist each other in their endeavors. While using their friends’ goods or services, they will gladly pay for them rather than expect a “friends and family discount” or receive them for free. The usual targets of this type of abuse from individuals they recognize are photographers and artists. Oddly enough, even seasoned dog walkers and pet sitters are now expected to work for nothing.
We do not even understand why people think it’s acceptable to behave with a loved one in this way. Conversely, this Poster was perplexed by the bride’s dismissive attitude toward her when she was asked to be a part of her friend’s wedding entourage.
OP was asked to lead the two Daschunds that owned to the bride throughout the ceremony. Although she accepted the invitation, she wasn’t too pleased with her position. The wedding party was instructed to keep one of their weekends open in May, which was the next slight. OP inquired as to the purpose of the schedule block but received no reply.
Without the wedding party, OP showed up and had a great time at whatever they had planned. Nobody has ever revealed to OP what transpired that weekend up until this day.
They were attempting to organize a day to go dress shopping for bridesmaids a few days later, but they were unsuccessful. When they finally decided on a date, it just so happened to fall on OP’s day off from pet-sitting for one of her major clients.
