TikTok trends are getting quite famous these days.
Thanks to Tiktok, many people are getting a lot of Internet fame recently. TikTok is filled with all sorts of trends. Some are funny, some are entertaining, and some are just cute and wholesome. So we are blessed with some adorable videos every now and then. However, this time, it wasn’t a human who got recognition through a TikTok trend – It was a cute doggo named Oakley! Oakley’s dad, Andrew Lewis, posted a video on TikTok where he introduced his “family.” Basically, the trend starts with the video showing the mother and the father, and then their baby. Andrew gets asked a lot if his dogs Oakley and Nellie are Golden Retriever and Dalmatian mixes.
Even though they are pure breeds, their long hair makes them seem like they are a mix between Golden Retrievers and Dalmatians. The dogs truly are a wonderful sight to see. Andrew’s video went so viral that it got 2 million likes and 8 million views on TikTok.

This is Oakley, Andrew’s long-haired Dalmatian that was shown in his video.
Andrew talked about what inspired him to make the video.
“So first off, I have two long-haired Dalmatians that are full-bred (Oakley and Nellie). So that post was initially a joke. Every time I go out in public I mostly get asked if they are mixed with a golden retriever or something like that. But I’ve always wanted to get a Dalmatian and randomly stumbled upon a long-haired and I instantly knew right there,” he told Bored Panda.
Oakley was the first one to arrive at their home.
He got adopted when he was only 4 months old.
“So I found a lady online trying to get rid of their puppy, which was around 4 months old. When I got there, I noticed he wasn’t fed too well and he was terrified of everything. I don’t know for sure, but I assume he had a not-so-pleasant time before I got him. I picked him up in East Tennessee and named him Oakley! He took a while to adjust and be normal, but he is the absolute happiest dog I’ve ever met.”
He adopted Oakley from a lady getting rid of her puppy.
Oakley seems very happy to be a part of this family.

Later, Andrew got Oakley a little sister and named her Nellie.
Oakley is a very friendly dog that loves to play with humans and other animals.
“Oakley is obsessed with playing fetch with balls and frisbees. He adores people and loves to play with other dogs. After a few months, I knew he needed a sibling to play with while I was at work, so I brought home his new sister, Nellie. They are absolute best friends and play together every day. She loves to play tag with Oakley but she is more of a cuddler and likes taking naps. People ask me about their temperament and I have to say they are both not aggressive and adore everyone.”
Who wouldn’t want to adopt special little babies like these? You don’t find this breed roaming on the streets every day. Nellie and Oakley are wholesome little puppies and whatever fame they got from the TikTok video, they completely deserved it. These dogs should be appreciated for their beauty.
