Designer Who Take Photoshop Requests Too Literally Keep Trolling People (New Pics)

James Fridman is a designer who is infamous on Twitter for photoshopping people’s pictures in a way that’s both humorous and entertaining. It’s an unfortunate tendency for people to approach artists of any flavor and ask them to do something for free to them, and I think that’s the root of what started James Fridman’s crusade. I’m of the opinion that if one of your friends is an artist, then you don’t have any right to ask them to do something for you for free.

Just like as an artist, you have no right to ask your friend to pay you extra just because they’re your friends. These aren’t demands you should have, but rather should be the other way around. An artist can offer to do something for free, and a friend can offer to pay extra, the inverse should never be demanded! As such, there’s been quite a few hilarious results due to James Fridman’s antics, and you can check out his work over at Twitter!

Fridman himself has commented on his antics

 “I don’t consider myself a graphic designer, it is more of a hobby. When I first started using image manipulation software, it was something new and not as widespread as it is now, so everyone was learning and experimenting. I did some funny edits for friends and family, and they ended up on the internet. Apparently, people found it quite entertaining and asked for more – that’s how I ended up creating my Twitter account.”

He also commented on his anti-makeup stance on children.

“The purpose of makeup is to make a person wearing it seem more appealing by exaggerating or creating a false impression of the signs of fertility and sexual availability. Do kids need all that? Absolutely not.”

“There is a significant difference between childishly playing with mom’s makeup and wearing a full face of makeup, glued-on false eyelashes and a set of false nails. Face painting is a fun and innocent way for kids to express their artistic talent and creativity. Unlike makeup, it’s not intended to make you look sexually appealing.”

When asked if it was a “boys wearing makeup” thing, he said;

“No, it doesn’t. No kid should be wearing make-up, regardless of their gender. The mom’s intentions were obvious. Worryingly, it has become acceptable for parents to misuse their kids for fame and profit.”

He has quite the commentary on this kind of stuff.

“The omnipresence of comedy in social media has created a new way of delivering information to the public. Entertainment accounts cater to a wider audience, delivering current news and addressing social issues wrapped in humour. It makes it easier to work through sensitive subjects.”
