Dog Owner Refuses To Change Dog’s Name Because It Is Same As Her Cousin’s Daughter

However, it appears that some people prefer their special snowflake to be unique.

OP has had a dog for two years named Isabella that she adores and a cousin that she isn’t really close with.

The cousin also named her daughter Isabella and is now demanding that OP change her dog’s name.

I could understand the cousin’s point of view if OP named the dog after learning what the cousin planned to name her daughter. However, this is not the case, as OP has had their dog for much longer than the cousin has been pregnant. I think it’s ridiculous to force someone to change their pet name just so your child doesn’t have a name that sounds like a dog. Does she not realise that there are probably thousands of dogs out there named Bella?

Human Isabella sounds like a magnificent name.

I do think of Twilight when I hear Bella.

The dog was named way before the baby even existed.
