Doggie Daycare Employee Handed A Surrender Form To The Dog Owner Who Neglects His Dog

If you cannot provide proper care to your dog, you do not deserve to have the dog.

Animals are adorable and bring joy and happiness into our lives. While they always take care of us, it is the owners’ responsibility to take care of them and make sure they are free from diseases. But some pet owners fail to take proper care of their pets. Recently a doggy daycare attendant shared an incident on Reddit that a dog owner would come with his dog. This dog would always have a new ear infection but it was always untreated. One day, when this dog owner came to pick up his dog, OP told him that it can be dangerous for the dog if these ear infections are left untreated.

The owner told her that he does not want to waste time at the vet and in the end, it is just a dog. OP handed him a surrender form while telling him that he can leave the dog at the daycare and they can rehome him. The owner was drunk and left with his dog. Scroll down to read the complete story.

OP works at a dog boarding facility and they had a dog that would always come in with ear infections and the owner would do nothing about it.

OP’s manager thinks that she should have approached this differently. 

The vet should have followed up with the Animal Protective Services.

The manager thinks that OP should have adopted a different approach to deal with this situation. Some people think that it was not the right way to talk to this guy as he would not learn and change his behavior if you just hand over a surrender form to him. On the other hand, he is being very neglectful of his dog. Dogs are living beings and they deserve to be treated with love and kindness. Someone should call the local cops and report that the guy was drunk.
