Every employee wishes to be unnoticed.

I understand that some people desire invisibility as a superpower. And, while it may appear to be fun at first, it can quickly become lonely, especially if you are unable to control it. However, I am certain that many employees wish to be invisible. And, while it may seem far-fetched, this person is essentially living our fantasies. When I say invisible, I don’t mean that no one can see him; rather, he slipped through the cracks and few people are aware that he even works at the company. Wouldn’t that be an ideal situation for a lot of people?

You are paid for the little work you do with no supervision. I’m sure we’ve all had situations where our superiors are constantly looking over our shoulders, causing us to make more mistakes. But what if that’s not the case? And what if you had no work to do but were still paid? Doesn’t it sound like a dream? In this case, the Reddit user is living in this universe. And how they got into this situation is also surprisingly realistic. It gives me hope that one day I will be able to live in this universe as well.

The title says it all.

He was hired a few months back by a person who left her position.

This meant that now he has no supervisor.

But the story doesn’t end there as we get a lot more information about the job.

He is having a grand old time at work and nobody has noticed.

And he also mentioned that he doesn’t want to get a second job.

He also left his job earlier which makes sense.

The only thing I hope for is that he stays here for a long time without anyone noticing. I’m sure he’ll get caught one day and someone will notice that his role isn’t really needed, but until then, he can just chill at work. And he’s having a good time while being cautious. While it is understandable for him not to go to work, I am aware that this will only result in him being noticed much earlier. So he’s just hiding out for as long as he can. But I’m curious about what his original role was supposed to be and how no one noticed until now.

People in the comments had quite good advice to give as well.

And OP has made sure he has everything documented.

And the poster has been doing that regularly.

This is not a unique case either.

As a few people had their own stories to share.

Apparently, it happens a lot more than we think.

As long as nobody from work reads this, I think they will be fine.
