Employee Interferes With The Thermostat When The Boss Is Being Cheap

It is not fun to sweat.

I know a lot of people who love going to the gym will disagree with me but it is the truth. Even people who love to exercise do not like smelling like a wet sock. And that is exactly what everyone smells like when the summer is here and your air conditioning isn’t set to the max. From someone who lives in a warm climate, I can safely say that the hot weather is never as fun as how they show it in the movies. That includes the beach as well.

However, you can curb most of that weather with a well-placed air conditioner and by setting the thermostat cool. That is not all as that means your electricity bill will be through the roof. I understand wanting to save electricity but this is a new low.

What else could this person do anyway?

While I do believe talking to the manager should have been the first solution, they might have talked and the manager must have not listened. Honestly, that doesn’t sound too out of the ordinary for how most of the people with power act anyway. And what else was this employee supposed to do anyway? I do believe this might have been the only way other than quitting the job entirely.
