Boss Asks Employee To Be a Team Player After Giving Them A Pay-cut, Revenge Ensues

Higher-ups must reconnect with reality.

This may appear harsh, but I believe that people who have a little bit of power get carried away and believe that they suddenly own all the people who work beneath them. I have no other explanation for all of the terrible managers. Even if a higher-up appears to care about you on the surface, they most likely don’t, and everything comes down to numbers. I understand their point of view. After all, the world, unfortunately, revolves around money. However, we must not lose sight of empathy, as without it, we are nothing more than animals.

I’m sure we’ve all been in situations where we were forced to take a pay cut because our superiors said they couldn’t afford to pay us any longer. They may appear to be kind when they speak, but are they also taking a pay cut? Or is the difficulty only for the employee who works beneath them? This is why it is critical to know your worth and not back down even when things appear difficult. You may not have a choice right now, but an opportunity is always nearby.

And the following is one of them. So scroll down to see for yourself and bask in complete satisfaction.

As you can tell by the title, this is going to be one interesting story.

Right from the start, we can tell that it was a hard job.

And not only that but this person was quite underpaid as well which was just the cherry on top.

But they were still a tiny bit relieved because of the overtime they could do to earn a decent living.

But they were tired of it all so they asked their boss to increase their pay.

However, rather than get a pay raise, they were called in for some bad news.

The boss wasn’t happy to see that the employee was refusing his demands so he got pissed off.

Things didn’t end there and that is how this person left the job.

Thankfully they found a job pretty soon afterwards so they weren’t in a pickle.

However, the same could not be said for the former boss who was drowning without this employee’s help.

We all get a bit more information on the boss and how he used to run things.

While it might be sort of their fault, at the end of the day, ultimately the boss is the one behind the loss.

The boss is the one who made all these dumb decisions.

I understand that the boss was nice to them most of the time, but why didn’t he abandon them when it mattered? And what were his subordinates supposed to do? Just wait for the business to improve before increasing their pay? Despite the fact that it had not increased in four years. And yet he has the audacity to blame an employee when he was the one who helped with so many responsibilities on one person while underpaying them. He only cared about what he could get out of their relationship, not whether it was mutually beneficial.

This is a very valid question and I wonder as well.

He did take a cut technically.  A big one as well.

People do have it worse but this was still bad.

Everyone should know their worth.

I wish this law applied in every country but it doesn’t.

It was clearly all one employee’s fault.

Why am I not surprised?

Pay-cut means less work as well, right?
