Entitlement is a disease that can rot any bond, any relationship.
Life is all blissful and free from contradiction when you and your other half don’t live together. Thigs instantly take a 180 degree turn when you finally decide to tie the knot and start living together. Now a house naturally demands some chores to be done, you cannot survive without them, or else you will be living in an ugly mess. So chores like doing the dishes, washing the clothes, taking out the trash, cooking, ironing clothes, are all part of house chores and need proper attention. When you turn from one to two, that is the husband and wife start living together, these chores need to be divided. The responsibilities increase so it is only fair to divide the duties but this is where that sweet contradiction and blissfulness ends because all of a sudden no one wants to do them when you are together. It is always the case that one partner ends up doing way more than the other. And yes, it is the women who normally get thrown under the bus in this department and the men formulate excuses like “Oh I had to close that deal last night so I am really tired.”, “Oh I have a Zoom meeting with the CEO today so I have to practice”, so on and so forth.
In the case of this one wife, it wasn’t just about the husband throwing all his chores on her but it was also about how he was trying to establish control over it. The story is about a mom who posted the whole thing on Reddit and a father who is an ambulance driver. They are parents of two beautiful children.
One day erupted into a fight just because the husband told the wife to reheat his food after he got home and the wife rejected and told him to go do it himself.

I really don’t see a problem with eating reheated meals. You just chuck it in the microwave, hit the timer, and eat away.

He actually saves lives for a living. That is such a blessed profession and then this is what he does when he gets home. So unfortunate. All his good deeds go to waste.

9. Dude, you literally have to put a 10-15 minute timer on that thing, meanwhile go change clothes, freshen up, and when you return your meal will be ready. What part of this makes you go out of your way to do a house chore.

Maam, you are NTA. I have no idea what got into this man. He probably had a bad day, fine. But what about your feelings and emotions. As a husband, you are supposed to leave the duty out of the house and enter the house as afresh head. Knowing they have very little children, he must be aware of the fact that the wife has to go through a lot but he still ignores that and goes on ramming about something so irrelevant.
She did the right thing by rejecting him, his entitlement had to be shut down so he realizes he cannot freely rule over everyone.
