Employee Asks If She Was Wrong For Not Giving Up Her 1st Class Seat For Her Boss

A Redditor recently got met with a lot of confusion as she took a flight with her boss after attending a conference. OP is a frequent flyer and always uses the airline’s, they were using to fly, credit card to purchase her tickets. This would allow her to use the collected points or miles to get free seat upgrades or a free ticket, at times, entirely. And that is exactly what happened that day. OP and her boss did fly on the same plane but OP got her seat upgraded to first class for free while her boss had to travel in economy class.

Once they landed and were collecting their bags, the boss started a conversation with OP and said that she should’ve let her fly on the first-class seat and that she has no respect for the protocol.

OP had no idea if she did right or not so she decided to share the matter with the sacred community members of the subreddit “Am I The A$$hole?” to have them determine if she was the AH or not, for not giving her first class seat to her boss.

3. While collecting their bags after landing, the boss approached OP about something.

4. The boss said OP should’ve given her first-class seat to her because the company paid for her original ticket.

5. But OP got the upgrade because of her own credit card use and frequent traveling so giving the seat away didn’t make any sense.

6. Confused, OP took the matter to the community members of AITA to know if she was wrong or not.
