Husband Guilt-Tripped His In-Laws After They Forgot His Wife’s Birthday

OP used a simple Facebook post to make their in-laws feel guilty and embarrassed for their oversight.

When OP saw his wife crying as he woke up, he got really concerned. After asking her what had happened, she told him all of her siblings and other family members didn’t wish her on her birthday. The reason for extreme sadness was that OP’s wife would wish them all every year and had never skipped a year. Her feeling useless and upset is what made OP not want to let the situation go and actually do something about it.

OP, you are a boss. This is how every husband should back his wife. No one likes to see his/her significant other cry on their big day. And OP’s way of approaching this situation deserves a standing applause. He didn’t go off at his wife’s family the way you would expect in such stories. I kinda was expecting him to trash his in-laws for forgetting his wife’s birthday but no, OP’s approach was subtle. And trust me, when it comes to petty revenge, subtleness is the most poisonous tool one can possibly use.

He simply used a hint of sarcasm in his Facebook post making all of OP’s wife’s family members realize what an error they had all made. Surely now they will begin approaching the wife probably making belated wishes and apologizing. That is when OP and his wife will individually deal with everyone. This was a master plan executed beautifully. Credit given where it is due and OP deserves all of it.
