A lot of people just straight away buy this bed, maybe decorate or paint it a bit and give it to their pets. However, a lot of people are now making these beds into bunk beds for two or even three pets!

And it’s very easy too. It doesn’t require any special tools and you can do this at home with ease. All you need is a screw driver, 2 or more IKEA’s pre-assembled DUKTIG Doll Beds, about 16 wood screws and 4 mending plates.

Now, remove the board from the bottom of the beds, line up the posts and place a mending plate halfway between them screw it on the lower bunk. Then attach the mending plates to the top bunk and voila your bunk bed is ready!

These doll beds make great beds for our pets. As you can see, the cats don’t need us to put any cardboard box ON the bed for them to sit in. They love it as it is. It’s probably because it’s the perfect size, compact, soft, and also stylish. For some reason, pets also love resting their head by placing their chin on the head board. The space between the bed and the head board also lets them take stick their tails out when they’re relaxing. All in all, pets really love these beds and actually seem grateful.

Although IKEA have a separate furniture line, they probably never expected that people would be buying their toy beds for their real pets. It’s so good that it almost makes me want to try them myself. I wonder what’s so great about them that cats are finally choosing them over cardboard boxes.
