It’s not an exaggeration to claim that seeing Tom & Jerry or Popeye as a child was one of the best experiences of our youth. Do you know the creative mind behind this lovely animated series, though? Eugene Merril Deitch, often known as Gene Deitch, was an American illustrator, director, and comic book creator. It’s unlikely that many people were familiar with him. The unfortunate news is that we lost this tale, though. He was 95 years old when he passed away on April 16, 2020, after dedicating his life to the arts.
Since learning of his demise, artists from all across the world have paid tribute to the renowned animator by posting their poignant creations online. The artists also wish to express their gratitude to him for giving them an amazing upbringing through them. Gene Deitch, please go in peace.
