Karens never listen to anybody.
I am sure that by now, you have read hundreds of stories about Karens just being generally rude towards employees and treating them like sub-par humans but it still surprises me to see these stories. It is as if these people are deliberately trying their best so that everyone can hate them. I know they have this image in their mind that all retail employees are lazy and want to swindle you but the truth is, they just don’t care.
Employees aren’t usually trying to swindle you out of your money as they do not get paid based on commissions or anything of the sort. Usually, they will tell you what the cheaper option is because they don’t really care about the company’s bottom line. However, these Karens just don’t understand this simple fact and always love to act like they know everything. As you can imagine, it never results in the way they want. However, at least we get some good stories out of these interactions.

The story is set in KFC and the most important part of the story is a guy named Jay.
Now, while he was busy he still advised her to make it a meal so she wouldn’t have to pay so much.
However, she just wasn’t willing to listen so he did what she asked to make her happy.
As you can imagine, these stories never end like this and things started to go awry when another family ordered the same thing but as a combo.
That is when she realized that it was cheaper to make it a meal but ofcourse she wasn’t going to admit her mistake.
He calmly explained to her that he had offered the meal to her but she had rejected the drinks.
Then she comes in with the ‘I want to talk with the manager’ which surprisingly was Jay all along.
Honestly, I can just imagine the looks of shock and horror on her face when Jay must have come in with the manager vest. What did she think would happen if the manager came in? it is not as if she wasn’t told about the combo. So when she chose to order separately, she did that to herself and she made an informed decision. At the end of the day, she was just pissed that she made a mistake and she wanted to take out her anger on someone else.

Honestly, that does sound like the best way to deal with a Karen.
Usually, the employees do try to help you if you act like a decent human being towards them.
Exactly, they just don’t care enough or are paid enough to do that.
That is not a bad idea and sometimes they might just accept them.
This is what normal human beings do.

Jay does sound like a decent fellow.
And apparently, he was as long as he wasn’t forced by the company for the time crunch.
