Rules are there for a reason.
I know we all love the age-old statement of rules are meant to be broken but it really isn’t true. They are usually there for a reason and you will end up hurting yourself if you decide to break the rules intentionally. However, that doesn’t mean that all the rules in the world are at the same level. And some are just plain dumb or inconveniences for the people working there. Now I am not saying that this particular policy is stupid but it does teeter on stupidity when a person is so hell-bent on enforcing it.
I understand that some people are rule sticklers but nobody likes those who tattle on everyone and basically require everyone to follow the rules to a T when it suits them. This usually only happens when the power gets to their head and they think they can do whatever they want when it comes to the people working under them. As you can probably guess, they don’t like it when they get inconvenienced by the same rules they enforced in the first place.

We start off this story with some background information about the job.
We also get to know Karen a tiny bit.
She was obvious,y disliked by everyone and you will see why quite soon.
But things got to a head when she needed help.
He did walk there but he had forgotten his badge.
It didn’t seem like a big deal so he made a joke out of it.
He obviously thought that was going to be it.
But she wasn’t going to let it go.
She had said that it was an emergency.
And she agreed that it was but she cared about the rules as well.
So he walked back to his office.
But rather than going back, he called her.
And he let her know that rules were important to him as well.
I understand that rules are very important and I don’t think that this particular policy is too weird but she did ask this for herself. If she really thinks that rules are this important then she should have seen this coming. Does the rule only apply when she wants to mess with someone and it doesn’t apply when she is the one being inconvenienced? She was simply a Karen who got what she deserved and I don’t feel sorry for her at all.
People still had a few questions left. So he had quite a few updates.
He mentioned his boss who was actually quite chill.
His boss really didn’t give him a hard time.
It really was as simple s that.
But Karen wasn’t happy with any of this.
He also explains what the problem was.
It wasn’t really a huge issue.
And he was able to fix it relatively soon.
There was another update where he explains his side well.
After all, rules are important.
But the same applies to her.
The story doesn’t there as we get a few more questions answered.
