Finding a new job is a difficult task. All you have to do now is toss as many darts as you can in the hopes of hitting something. Then, when someone responds to your email, you have to figure out if this company is legitimate and not intended to defraud you. It’s a process, but it’s one that most of us must go through. Sometimes it can be hectic and sometimes it can be quite frustrating.
It happens on a regular basis. When you fill out a job application, they ask you to do some “sample” work for them, but then they ignore you and use your work anyway. As an applicant, it’s a terrific method to leverage needy people as a source of free labor, but it’s also tremendously annoying. When this law company used his “sample” work for a case they were working on, this individual had another plan. And, because of some incredibly astute legal maneuvering, the person was able to bill the scumbags for his troubles. They definitely got what they deserved. Apparently, the firm got what it actually deserved. There are a lot of companies and people who would trick you exactly like this. They take advantage of someone’s helplessness. All they want is things to be done their way, they don’t understand other’s situation or their hard work or their. OP was an intelligent person and a lawyer and he understood their trick pretty well and got what he wanted. They weren’t even replying to him until OP filed a lawsuit against them. Well, they got what they deserved and the OP got a cheque.
