What you do with private property is your business.

This is a really simple statement but it seems many people do not understand this sentiment. I mean what is so hard to understand about private property and how it is not anyone’s business what you do with it. It really surprises me to see how titled some people can get and how much of that entitlement they pass over to their children. That is the sort of story we will be focusing on today. I am sure you know the feeling of your neighbors feeling entitled to anything owned by you, whether it be a trampoline or a pool.
We all know stories about neighborhoods thinking they own the pool even if it isn’t theirs. And sometimes you have to give in just because you don’t want to cause trouble even if you don’t want random kids in your pool. Call me selfish, but I wouldn’t want random kids touching anything of mine and it just depends on the individual. So there is nothing wrong with saying no to the parents of these kids but it doesn’t always end well as these entitled neighbors get pissed when they hear no.

We start off with some information about the neighborhood.
And how this family ended up getting a pool.
They were both kind enough to allow in kids.
However, they did say no dogs at all.
As they did not want the pool to get damaged.

But that had already happened by the time they got back.
So this guy closed the pool until further notice.
Un surprisingly, the neighbors weren’t happy with this decision.
He even tried explaining it but no one was having it.
His fiance also thinks it is better to just give in.
As she clearly did not want to cause more problems.

In my opinion, it is surprising that these neighbors think that they can demand for a pool to be opened. After all, it is his pool and he can do whatever he wants it. It was the story about the trampoline before and now it is this. These sorts of stories just make me lose my faith in humanity and don’t make me hopeful for the new generation especially since they are being brought up by entitled people like these.
People clearly had his side on this matter as well.
They were surprised by the neighbor’s demands.
They called out the entitlement as well.
While some people were worried about the safety issues.
Did the kids have an adult supervisor?
After all, it is better to be safe than sorry later.
Some commenters gave him advice on how to stop the kids from entering.
Sometimes you have to take a drastic measure.
People even shared their own experiences.
Some warned about the dangers.
He can get into legal problems because of this.
This commend sums up everything wrong with this perfectly.
What are your thoughts on this? Would you have allowed the kids back in and just stricter restrictions so the pool doesn’t get damaged again? Or do you think the guy was right for not allowing the kids back in again? Let us know your opinion in the comments below.
