Manager Accuses Employee Of Faking A Covid Test, Employee Quits At The Spot

Is faking a covid test even a thing?

Don’t get me wrong, I am well aware that some idiots have definitely done this to get out of work but assuming that your employee is faking having covid is incredibly insensitive. Especially if you look at the statistics and how this disease has ravaged the world all around and so many people have passed away because of this. However, it seems that during this quarantine, we have learned a lot about our close ones and similarly our higher-ups.

I am sure that I am not the only one who has noticed how many stories about toxic work environments are surfacing after this quarantine and it seems that the managers are basically taking advantage of their employees. That is the story that we are going to focus on today. I am not saying that you should take everyone on their word but there should be at least a little trust between an employee and their higher-up or the whole relationship just breaks down and the work environment can become quite toxic.

It is no surprise that a lot of people are quitting their jobs in droves and finding new and better places to work at. This story was posted on Tik Tok and you can read the conversation that happened between this woman and her manager on phone after work hours at 8 pm.

The conversation started out benign but it quickly escalated and went quite far.

The boss clearly wanted proof of the covid test and they wanted it now even though it was after hours and it was 8 pm.


We can all see that the manager is coming off as quite aggressive in this particular sentence so the poster of this Tik Tok user did the best thing she could do.


She sent her Covid test which was negative but it doesn’t mean that she wasn’t sick.


Just to make it clear, she wasn’t faking anything. After all, even if the test is negative, you can still have it and it just may not show symptoms till later. This is exactly what happened to me a year ago and I ended up extremely sick a few days after. So I would say that it is always better to be cautious.

But the boss wasn’t having any of it and simply called her in ignoring her plea.


This was clearly not all about the Covid test and the environment around work has been toxic for a while.


So she quit which I think was the right choice.
