As true superhero fans, we love both Marvel and DC.
Honestly speaking, Marvel and Dc have together provided us with some of the best and super content ever. The comics have existed for many decades now and are still pumping out some great content but the classics are the classics, you just cannot beat them. And the way DC Extended Universe and Marvel Cinematic Universe decided to take these comic characters and turn them into live-action superheroes sort of changed the scene forever. With the likes of Justice League, Man of Steel, Aquaman, and more from the DCEU and Iron Man, Aveners: Endgame, Spiderman: No Way Home, and more from the MCU, these superheroes have certainly made a massive impact on our lives and I don’t think this love for these movies and comics is going away anytime soon. Especially with the new Batman just released by DC and the Second Doctor’s Strange just about to be released, the future for superhero movies looks very bright.
Now it is not very hard to notice that many of the superheroes from both the DC and Marvel universes have their superpowers overlapping. They have the exact same superpowers, just a different gimmick, and are from a different universe. Take Iron Man and Batman, for instance, the two are billionaires, philanthropists, wear a suit, and are the face of their universe. Another one is DC’s Flash and Marvel’s Quicksilver. Both run extremely fast and breaking the barrier of sound or even light is no issue for them. And there are many more examples like this.
Today we are going to look at 9 such examples of superheroes from both worlds having the exact same powers.
1. Superman from DC and Hyperion from Marvel have the exact same powers and a very similar origin story. Superman was sent from Krypton from Earth as his planet was on the edge of destruction and Hyperion was sent from his planet to Earth-616 as he was the only person left of his race.
2. The Atom from DC and Ant-Man from Marvel both possess the power to shrink down and grow up, both to the far extremes at will.
3. Wonder Woman from DC and Lady Sif from Marvel are very similar. Both warriors are the first female fighters in their mythologies and have a very sweet spot for humans.
4. Green Arrow from DC and Hawkeye from Marvel are both specialists in the profession of archery.
I honestly wouldn’t indulged into a conversation over who copied who because as a superhero content fan, I just want the best of both worlds, be it in the shape of movies or comics. So yeah, both universes should have all skill sets so it is only fair to have similar super powers
Let’s look at some more superheroes from the two universes who have the same powers.
5. Zatanna from DC and Doctor Strange from Marvel are both masters of the mystic arts of their own universes and protect them from potential threats from the multiverse.
6. Here come the stars of the show; Batmen from DC and Iron Man from Marvel. Both wear high tech suits to fight wars, are billionaires, lead the team, and are great philanthropists.
7. Flash from DC and Quicksilver from Marvel are both the speedsters of their universes. They both run extremely fast and are jokers too.
8. Deathstroke from DC and Deadpool from Marvel are very similar characters. Apart from their amazing fighting skills, the two have healing capabilities as well.
9. Bumblebee from DC and The Wasp from Marvel both can shrink down.
