Mother Refuses To Get Her Son Another Dog Because He Won’t Take Care Of The First One, Father Wants To Appease Son

Pets are a blessing but some people do not deserve to have pets.

Having a pet is the most amazing thing ever but you should also take care of them so they do not feel neglected. All a pet wants is love, care and attention. Nothing more than that! A mother shared with the Reddit community that her oldest son always wanted a dog so they adopted a family dog but the oldest one didn’t take care of the dog. He lost interest in the dog, Gizmo. He wouldn’t take care of him and wouldn’t walk or feed him.

OP’s youngest one got closer to Gizmo. He took care of him and used to walk him. He would sometimes sleep with his dog. After seeing that the dog is closer to the younger son and not to the oldest one, the oldest one now wanted another do because the first dog is now his brother’s. OP and her husband should make their oldest son sit and talk to him that dogs are not toys. A pet would love you if you would love him/her. They should tell him to spend more time with the dog and learn its value.
