Is your pet normal or does it send you into panic mode?
When you want to welcome a pet into your home and make them a new member, it is really important to understand the commitment that you are making. Pets are a huge responsibility and it is expected of you to treat pets just like you would treat your baby. There is a lot that can go wrong and you will be held accountable. Be it a dog, cat or even a bunny, all animals require attention, time and love.
When you have a furry friend, their safety and well-being should be your utmost priority. Pet owners will do anything to keep their little babies safe. They would give them blankets on a cold night, will give them food and time, will play with them and even make them sleep in their bed with them! It’s always a great idea to keep a check on them because anything scary can happen to them within a second. Pets are somewhat vulnerable, as much as they try to be safe, they can end up in difficult and bad situations. So it is the duty and responsibility of the owner to keep an eye on their pet.
But sometimes our companions can catch us off guard. They can send us into panic mode, but what we don’t know as of yet is if they do it intentionally or unintentionally. That’s a mystery. There is still no good enough reason to scare your owners like that, but I don’t think pets will ever understand that! From having tomato paste on them to sleeping like they aren’t breathing, animals can do everything to scare you off. Below are some of those images which will definitely make you look twice or even thrice in order to comprehend exactly what is happening. Scroll down and have fun!

2. This one would have given me a legit heart attack too!

3. Is that part of his tail or poop?
Illusions, illusions everywhere.
A Twitter user that goes by the name of _sumola_, posts pictures of her cat and in one of the pictures that she shared, it seemed like the cat’s tail is chopped off. YIKES! This woman lives in Ottawa, Ontario. Her black cat goes by the name of Void. It’s basically Tally’s (Sumola’s roommate) cat. In an interview Tally said, “as Void is the darker darkest, he likes to act very mysterious. But he’s also a huge dork. He will reach his paw out to pet you (nails included on occasion) in order to ask for pats.”
Moreover, Tally also believes that it is essential and a lot of fun to give a heart attack to its owner, for two reasons. Tallys says “First, they’re little evil gremlins who delight at torture, and second, they like the way you give them the good-good attention afterwards.”
Void is a completely black cat, “he likes to sit in the darkest of places, be it my laundry hamper, under the bed, bookshelf, closet.” Tally also told jokingly that Void wants to make sure that no other monsters can attack her, “Other than him.”
Tally also mentions an amazing idea of adoption in her interview. Adoption is a beautiful gesture and it also has a lot of benefits, not only for the animals but also for such shelter homes. “adopt, don’t shop!” And… she added, “yes, Void’s name was UnaVoidable.” We surely saw that part coming, right?

Pets bring us a lot of joy and happiness. This statement will be very relatable for all pet owners. Pets can help with lowering stress levels. They are simply magical, as they can brighten up our gloomy days just by cuddling us. They are so loyal and faithful. You will find a beautiful companion in them. Loving them is so important, but loving them can also bring hardships.
A psychotherapist Megan MacCutcheon suggests that there is always a threat to potential stress when you own a pet. “Things like adjusting to owning a new pet, training a pet, acquainting new pets and existing pets, introducing pets and children, and finding solutions to various responsibilities in terms of help with pet sitting, dog walking, etc.”
When you have a pet and you love them unconditionally, you can never accept the idea that pets will pass away one day. And you will have to live without them, or they will have to live without you. This thought is so painful. “While many pets seem forever young, they do age, their health eventually declines, and we are faced with even more responsibilities as we take care of the additional duties and demands that come with caring for an elderly or sick animal.”

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
When you have a pet, you treat them like your own child, even a scratch on their body and you start panicking. Because that’s what a pet-owner relationship is. You have to put their health before yours, and always keep checking on them. But one also has to accept the reality that they won’t live forever. And once you see their health going down, and them getting sick, it surely is a very heartbreaking moment for the owners. Megan calls it “pet owner anxiety”.
As I mentioned that pet owners have a huge responsibility, and with the responsibility comes the anxiety to fulfil the responsibility. Also, it can be very stressful. Seeing your pets in pain can cause you a lot of stress and anxiety. Your pets suffering from a disease, and your decisions to give them euthanasia, their life depending on you and your decisions, all these situations can be really anxiety-provoking.
But this is true only for the people who consider pets to be a part of their family. There are people for whom pets are just pets, and they don’t really have any emotional bonding with them. They don’t really worry about them. When you get deeply emotionally attached to your pet, everything becomes second. And you just don’t want to be realistic all the time, because your feelings are involved.
