Homeowner Takes Petty Revenge On Karen Neighbour Who Kept Complaining About Their Pool

Some neighbours are simply too nosy.

Living in a tight-knit community has its advantages, but dealing with nosy neighbours can feel like an invasion of privacy. Neighbours who constantly peek through windows or ask too many personal questions can make you feel like you’re being watched in your own home. That is why it is critical to set boundaries and communicate assertively in order to maintain a sense of privacy and autonomy. However, simply communicating your needs to your neighbours does not guarantee that they will always listen to you. I’m sure we’ve all had to deal with neighbours who are constantly peeping into your garden and generally being tattletales.

Furthermore, nosy neighbours enjoy complaining about things and even involve the Home Owners Association (HOA) or other authorities in personal matters. The following story is no different. You see, the neighbours in this story enjoy peering into the original poster’s (OP) yard and complaining about whatever OP is doing with their pool. First, it was because OP hadn’t cleaned their pool in a while. Regrettably, rather than discussing the situation with the OP first, they filed a report. As you can imagine, things quickly escalated from there, with the neighbours determined to ensure that the OP did not make it, so the pool was painted green. Why, you might ask? It is obviously because the neighbours despised the colour green.

Sometimes, you have to take drastic measures to spite your neighbours.

The neighbours of the OP apparently hated the colour green and were always complaining about it.

The neighbours even reported the OP to the council about the dirty pool.

The nosy neighbours hated the colour green.

This hatred for the colour green gave OP a great idea since he was a big fan of emerald green.

OP talked about the colour chart with the workers, and they ended up picking emerald green for the pool.

We can see the colour chart in the provided picture.

OP also posted a before image of the pool where we can see the original colour and all the muck that gathered in it.

To be fair, the pool did look incredibly gross.

The paint had mostly peeled off the pool, so OP decided to basically remake many features of their pool.

As you can see in this picture, the pool has been sanded off and looks much cleaner now.

The neighbours weren’t just annoyed with the pool either, as they always found reasons to complain.

We can see that the pool is on its way to becoming fully green.

The neighbours had an issue with some trees that were apparently hanging on their side of the yard, but they were unwilling to fix them themselves.

OP’s friend also joined in and assured them that the tree complaint would be resolved.

We got another update, and we can finally see that the pool is nearly finished.

As you can see, there is still work left, but I am betting the neighbours aren’t happy with where this is going.

OP had to put the work on hold since the weather wasn’t right for it.

At this time, the neighbours also finally realised what was happening and that the pool was being painted green.

The neighbours were livid with the new pool and even tried to lie, saying that a green pool is somehow against the law.

OP covered all their bases and spoke to the police and a lawyer so that there would be no more problems going forward.

The tree issue was also’resolved’ as OP decided to throw the mess of the cut branches into the neighbour’s yard.

If you still don’t despise the neighbours enough, they were also always peeping into OP’s yard when the kids were playing outside.

This is the mostly finished pool, and I have to say that the green looks absolutely gorgeous.

I understand that not everyone likes every colour. However, whatever the OP does with their personal pool has nothing to do with their neighbours. Even if the OP had painted the pool neon, the neighbours should not have interfered. Furthermore, the neighbours’ general creepiness and constant staring into their backyard while the OP’s children were playing is simply bizarre. It’s time for the neighbours to mind their own business. And I hope this revenge has taught them a lesson.

Why do the neighbours hate the colour green so much?

I want a video of their first reaction to seeing the new pool.

Even the workers were done with the neighbours.

To be fair, the summer is near, so this seems like a great idea.

So the neighbours might get to see a moon the next time they peer over OP’s yard.
