It’s beautiful to see your pet grow up.
I know that it is always adorable to see tiny kittens and puppies and I will be the first to admit that I always wanted a kitten myself rather than a full-grown cat. Part of it is because baby animals are just too cute and the other part is because you want to adopt a young one so you can see them grow up. So that is why the following pictures are so beautiful. Many of these pets have stayed in their forever home for a long time and are not considered elderly.
Some of us may find this gorgeous but there is not enough love on the Internet for the elderly animals. And that is exactly why we are here. We wanted to show the animals who stay by our side through thick and thin some love. So if that is what you wanted to see, you have come to the right place. We have compiled some of the sweetest stories that are behind these pictures for you. So just scroll below to see for yourself.
#1 This kitty clearly owns the whole house.
This is our Savva. At the end of March, he turned 18. Apparently, his hearing is pretty bad, so he meows like crazy because he’s bored. But he’s family!
#2 This is Olive and he is already 16 years old.
#3 Then we have beautiful Sadie who is 17 years old.
#4 Everyone needs a little help as they grow older.
My old man is going to be 16 this year. He’s still a kitten at heart, but today, he needs his favorite bed to be placed a little closer to the fire.
#5 This gorgeous pup is 13 years old and no, he doesn’t need glasses.
#6 This is Queen Pauline and she is 18 years old.
#7 We also have Mario here who has already turned 21.
#8 This punched-face kitty is known as Bonya and is 15 years old.
#9 He looks like he is asking for some extra snacks.
This is Red, a pit bull mix. He’s about 15 years old.
#10 Kira is 12 years old and he still loves to go on hikes.
We all change as time goes on as we can never stop time. And while one might say that beauty is temporary, in my opinion, these animals look just as pretty as when they were babies. In some cases, they look even more beautiful just because you have a deep bond with them now and call them family. So who cares about a little grey in their fur or that they aren’t as spry as they used to be? As long as they are with us, we get to enjoy their company.
#11 He looks like he is ready to pounce on someone any second now.
I was 23 when I adopted him. Now, he’s 16, and I’m almost 40.
#12 He apparently turns 14 today.
#13 Having fun doesn’t have anything to do with age.
Our friend turned 14 recently, but he still destroys his toys like a puppy.
#14 This kitty has been loyal to its owner for more than 20 years.
#15 He is already 11 but is still as active as when he was a puppy.
#16 That is the look of pure love.
Our Manechka is about 13 years old. She’s spent 10 years with us. We adopted her when she was 3, she had a difficult life story.
#17 She looks ready to eat her birthday snack.
#18 She does not look ready for motherhood.
Our 15-year-old chinchilla just gave birth for the first time in 8 years.
#19 She looks so happy.
My 15-year-old chihuahua has very sensitive eyes due to iris atrophy. Here she is in her glasses, and I can stop smiling because of this photo.
