Many people find it challenging to make the adjustment from living at home with their parents to attending college. Your transition from being totally dependent on your parents to becoming entirely autonomous and able to accomplish whatever you want. At first, you’re grateful for the independence and freedom, but eventually, you come to the conclusion that adulthood isn’t as enjoyable as you once believed. You often wish that your home will always be there for you to visit whenever you want and will stay exactly as you remember it. It is always difficult to see your family replace you with someone or something else. especially when they move on a bit too quickly and don’t take your feelings into account.

Op’s emotions are entirely understandable, especially in light of the way his parents handled the circumstance. He needs to let his parents know how his feelings over their choice are affecting them so that they can set the record straight.
