Hercules’ Timeline Should Match Mythology (5/10)

Hercules has one of the most endearing Disney princes, yet there are also glaring mythological mistakes in the film. The film makes an effort to fictionally represent Greek mythology, including setting the action in Classical Greece. There are various glaring mistakes, like the fact that Heracles is actually his Greek name. In fact, Hera is not Hercules’s mother rather, she is the story’s real antagonist.

Disney has revealed a future live-action Hercules remake, but little is known about the cast or the storyline. Disney adaptations can attempt to stay as close to the mythology as possible without becoming overly gloomy or bloody.
