Many comic artists use their art to educate others.
Comic artists have long used their imagination to entertain and educate people about the wonders of the universe. They bring the mysteries of Earth and beyond to life with their illustrations and storytelling, igniting curiosity and inspiring exploration. These artists play a unique role in informing the public about the various planets and celestial bodies that comprise our vast universe. Their ability to reduce complex scientific concepts to engaging visuals makes learning about space more accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages.
Comic artists have the ability to inspire their audience’s interest in astronomy and space exploration by combining art and education. Not only that, but many times people learn more from a beautiful visual than they do in school. And, while we may have all learned the names of the planets in our solar system in school, most of us do not have much more education than that. This is where Jarrod Chua, a Singaporean artist, comes in. He created the project ‘Spacey Tales’, and I am sure you can guess what it is about.

#1 When Mars is having a sick day.
Earth is always there to help.
Earth always manages to catch the fallout from Mars.
But most of the time, Earth keeps the fallout for itself.
After all, that’s apparently what Mars wants.

#2 A new year, a new me.
Gathering together to celebrate.
Not every planet celebrates the new year, though.
After all, the same cannot be said for the biggest star in the solar system.
The sun might celebrate a new year someday.
But that is still quite a few million years away.

#3 Giving birth isn’t easy.
Especially if you have to wait.
But the doctors always try their best.
The family member waiting outside can feel quite anxious.
But it is all worth it for a lot of people.
You can even see the resemblance in the baby.
Even black holes can give ‘birth’.

#4 Red is the colour of passion.
Thus, Mars has always been known as the red warrior.
Even the moons of Mars are named appropriately.
Mars may be smaller than Earth, but size doesn’t matter.
Mars has quite a few unique features on its surface.
Drama and Mars go hand in hand.

#5 We all have different orbits.
And the moon has a tight orbit as well.
Earth always tries to help out the moon.
After all, the moon must get really lonely.
We all need to watch over each other.
This way, the moon can have a lighter load.

#7 Earth loves to give gifts to the moon.
The moon is always getting new stuff from Earth.
But sometimes the moon isn’t able to catch the gift.
And thus it flies away, wandering the empty space.
In hopes of finding a new life.
At least that is what the voyager records were created for.

#8 A little introduction to the tiny planet Mercury.
Mercury was named after the god of speed and agility.
The name suits Mercury as it is able to make a full rotation of the sun in 88 Earth days.
Mercury also has a very mysterious aura.
There is much more to Mercury than at first glance.
Mercury also apparently experiences extreme mood swings.

#9 It is time for us to meet lovely Venus.
It is always shining bright.
Venus was named after the goddess of love and beauty.
Venus is apparently the twin of Earth.
However, Venus isn’t an identical twin and can be hot-tempered.
Venus would much rather spend time on its own than with the sun.

#10 Last but not least, we have Neptune.
Neptune was named after the god of the sea.
Neptune isn’t great friends with the sun.
Neptune also has a spot on the surface that is known as the great dark spot.
