Teenager Asks If They Are Wrong To Ask For Full Price When It Comes To Their Dog Sitting Services

Dog sitting is not an easy job.

I know that a big majority of people absolutely adore dogs but that doesn’t mean that they are easy to take care of. Even if you train them really well, they still need to be fed on time and taken on walks so they don’t ruin the house. So it really isn’t that revolutionary to pay your dog sitter a reasonable amount. After all, it takes a vigilant eye to make sure your doggo is safe and healthy. However, people usually tend to skimp when it comes to dog sitting and I have no reason why they do this.

I mean, it is totally okay to spend a ton of money on getting your doggo accessories and buying them loads of toys that they won’t ever use but paying a human being to look after your dog is suddenly too expensive? If you do consider your dog a part of your family, then pay the one who is taking care of that family member well. And I am also well aware that a lot of dog sitters don’t even ask for a lot in the first place.

However, this particular sitter felt bad even asking for the amount that they usually charge and that is how they ended up on Reddit asking for advice.

We start off the story with some background information about what they were actually doing and how it started.

They took care of the dog for the intended time and the issue started when he came back and asked for what he should pay.

I don’t understand why the mother is so upset over this. I mean they did take care of the dog for at least a week and the guy knew what he was getting into so it isn’t as if he would be surprised by the amount. And he also paid this amount before so I don’t get what the big deal would be. However, I do feel like the mother only feels bad because the total amount sounds like a lot but it really isn’t considering all the work they did.

The mother apparently thinks that they should give him a discount.

It isn’t as if he asked for a discount.

And he clearly knew what their rate was before hiring them.

The mother sounds very nice but this is related to work.

She can give him a discount if she wants but is it necessary?

He might appreciate it though.

I feel like he knows what he should pay but was just double-checking.

To a lot of people, this seems like a fair deal.

People were advising on how this is a business.

He wouldn’t have hired them if he didn’t know their rate.

They do seem to care about their customers which is always a plus.

However, there were people who thought they were too expensive.

But the poster was quick to respond.

It is different in every area though.

It honestly seems like they don’t want to rip off their clients.

This is actually great advice!

If he wanted a discount, he would have asked for it.

Are we sure that the kitty isn’t stuck in the chair? Because he definitely looks stuck.
